As a Public Funding Consultant in Paris, you will analyse client projects for funding eligibility, craft tailored financing strategies and prepare necessary documents. You’ll monitor opportunities, foster relationships with funding bodies, and contribute to developing new consulting services. Additionally, you will mentor junior consultants, providing expert guidance on aides and subventions, ensuring a high level of expertise within the team. 

Our client is a leading financial advisory firm that specialises in facilitating the implementation of innovative technological solutions across industries. They specialise in innovation management and structuring, and they are seeking an experienced consultant in public funding (regional, national, and European direct subsidies) to join its dynamic team.

The position is based in Paris (Place de la Madeleine). The package is attractive and composed of a fixed and a variable indexed to the sales generated through your actions. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Analyse client projects’ technical and economic aspects to align them with business strategies and funding expectations. 
  • Identify and evaluate eligible subsidies (e.g., France Relance, ADEME, BPI, Horizon Europe) and develop tailored funding strategies. 
  • Prepare technical and financial documents supporting project eligibility and oversee ongoing project monitoring. 
  • Monitor funding trends, foster relationships with public institutions, and expand the firm’s consulting services. 
  • Supervise and mentor junior consultants on grant management, leveraging deep expertise in public funding and subsidies. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing strategic insights and guiding the team on best practices in public funding. 

Key requirements: 

  • Extensive experience within funding organisations, such as BPI France, with an established network of key contacts like innovation officers. 
  • Strong knowledge of indirect funding schemes, including Research Tax Credit (CIR), Innovation Tax Credit (CII), and Young Innovative Company (JEI) programs. 
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, crucial for building and maintaining professional relationships. 
  • Possesses a startup/entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong passion for innovation and a focus on driving sales growth. 
  • Familiarity with the ICT sector and/or real estate industries is considered an advantage.
