Arabic-Speaking Director of Communications: Role Overview

We are working with a leading organisation to appoint an Arabic-speaking Director of Communications, a senior, high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive communications strategy across a diverse portfolio of brands.

This is an opportunity for an exceptional communicator (in both Arabic and English) who is a strategic thinker, to lead a talented team, drive corporate reputation, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. The successful candidate will oversee internal and external communications, media relations, executive visibility, employee engagement, and brand narrative.

Key Responsibilities of the Communications Director

  • Lead the development and implementation of a communications strategy across internal and external channels.
  • Build and protect corporate reputation through proactive storytelling, media engagement, and strategic positioning.
  • Oversee corporate messaging, press releases, statements, and talking points for senior leadership.
  • Oversee internal communications to strengthen culture, alignment, and engagement across all entities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and editorial teams on media engagement and issues management.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of communications professionals, providing strategic guidance and quality oversight.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Extensive experience in strategic communications, preferably within a complex, multi-brand environment.
  • Proven record of delivering impactful communications strategies in both English and Arabic.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape in the UAE and wider MENA region.
  • Experience managing teams and engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
