Investor Relations Associate, German Private Equity Firm, UAE

Hanson Search is partnering with an established German private equity firm to appoint an Investor Relations Associate, based in the United Arab Emirates. As the firm expands its presence in the Middle East, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing regional team at an early stage. The role plays a key part in building relationships with investors across the region.

About the Investor Relations Associate Role

The firm has a long track record of investing in market-leading businesses and partners with a broad base of institutional investors globally. Building out its Middle East platform is a strategic priority.

Working closely with the regional investor relations lead and the wider team in Germany, the Investor Relations Associate will support fundraising and investor engagement. Investor reporting also sits within the role, giving broad exposure to the firm’s investment activity and senior investors across the GCC.

Investor Relations Associate Responsibilities

• Fundraising Support: Support capital raising across the firm’s funds and co-investment opportunities, helping to manage investor processes from initial engagement through to commitment.
• Investor Engagement: Help develop relationships with sovereign wealth funds, government-related entities, pension funds, family offices and other institutional investors in the region. Prepare for and attend investor meetings.
• Pipeline and CRM: Maintain an accurate investor pipeline and CRM records, tracking interactions and follow-ups to monitor fundraising progress. Produce regular pipeline updates for senior colleagues.
• Materials and Presentations: Prepare tailored investor presentations, pitch materials, fund updates and marketing collateral, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the firm’s global messaging.
• Due Diligence: Coordinate responses to investor due diligence questionnaires and information requests, working with investment, finance, legal and ESG colleagues across the firm.
• Investor Reporting: Support quarterly and annual investor reporting, including portfolio updates. Respond to ongoing investor queries, helping to deliver a consistently high standard of service.
• Market Research: Research and map the regional investor market, including allocation trends and investor priorities, to support targeting and coverage planning. Track competitor activity as part of this work.
• Events and Marketing: Help organise investor roadshows and annual meetings, and support the firm’s presence at regional industry conferences.
• Cross-Border Collaboration: Act as a key link between the regional team and colleagues in Germany, ensuring smooth coordination with the firm’s investment and operations teams.

Private Equity Investor Relations Experience and Skills

• Relevant investor relations or fundraising experience within private equity or alternative asset management, including client coverage. A background in a placement agent, investment bank, transaction advisory or consulting role is equally relevant.
• A solid understanding of private equity fund structures and the fundraising process.
• Exposure to or a strong interest in the Middle East investor market. Existing relationships or experience with GCC investors is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and PowerPoint capability.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with confidence working with financial and performance data.
• Highly organised and proactive, with the confidence to work in a lean, entrepreneurial team as the regional platform grows.
• CFA or CAIA progress is advantageous.
• German language skills are a strong advantage, and Arabic language skills are also highly desirable. Fluency in English is essential.
• Willingness to be based full-time in the UAE and to travel across the region and to Germany as required.
