About the Global Brand and Communications Director Role

Reporting directly to the Founder, the Global Brand and Communications Director will be a defining strategic leader responsible for shaping and protecting the Founder’s personal brand, public narrative and global reputation, alongside their associated business ventures and partnerships across sport and entertainment.

This is a role for a seasoned communications and brand executive who operates at the highest level of influence. The successful candidate will lead a talented team across brand strategy, PR and media relations, stakeholder communications and partnership marketing, setting the strategic direction while others handle delivery. They will act as a trusted advisor to the Founder, providing counsel on positioning, messaging and reputation management across all markets.

Key Responsibilities of the Global Brand and Communications Director

  • Lead the overarching brand and communications strategy for the Founder and their associated ventures, ensuring a coherent and commercially powerful narrative across global markets
  • Act as the principal communications advisor to the Founder on reputation management, crisis communications, media positioning and public affairs
  • Lead a high-performing brand and communications team, setting the strategic vision and empowering specialist teams to deliver across PR, media, content and partnership marketing
  • Build and manage senior relationships across media, broadcast and editorial partners in sport, business and culture, driving proactive storytelling and managing reactive communications
  • Oversee integrated communications around major milestones, sponsorship activations, business launches and cultural moments
  • Lead communications for co-owned ventures and sub-brands within the Founder’s wider portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and consistent brand equity
  • Oversee brand identity and messaging frameworks, ensuring the Founder’s voice, values and vision are expressed consistently across all touchpoints
  • Anticipate and manage reputational risk, advising on sensitive issues with sound judgement and the confidence to make high-stakes decisions under pressure

Skills and Experience Required for a Senior Brand and Communications Leadership Role

  • Senior leadership experience in brand, communications or PR, ideally within sport, entertainment or media at a global scale
  • A track record of advising high-profile individuals, athletes, executives or public figures on brand positioning and communications strategy
  • Deep expertise in earned media, press and broadcast relations, and narrative management
  • Experience leading and building strong teams, with the gravitas to represent a major brand externally and the operational authority to drive performance internally
  • A sophisticated understanding of the sports industry, including the commercial, regulatory and cultural dynamics that shape reputation in this space
  • Outstanding judgement, discretion and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment close to a globally prominent figure
