Join a Specialist Consulting Firm at the Forefront of Local Taxation

A niche consulting firm renowned for its deep expertise in local taxation is looking for a Local Taxation Consultant (Industrial Premises) to join its high-performing team. With a growing client base in the industrial real estate sector, the firm is seeking to bring accounting-based valuation expertise in-house and is now hiring for a January 2026 start.

About the Role

This is a hands-on consulting role, ideal for someone who thrives on technical complexity and values autonomy. You’ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of cases, focused on industrial properties assessed using accounting methods. You’ll work independently, while also being part of a close-knit, supportive team that values shared knowledge and collaboration.

This is not a managerial position, but a deeply technical and operational one. If you’re a “doer” who takes pride in high-quality delivery, this role offers the freedom and accountability to take ownership of your work.

Local Taxation Consultant Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client cases related to local taxation, particularly CFE and TFPB
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, invoices, and fixed assets
  • Apply accounting-based valuation methods to industrial premises
  • Collaborate with the wider team through regular production and R&D meetings
  • Ensure high standards of accuracy, rigour, and client service in all deliverables

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Education

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience (flexible if attitude and learning agility are strong)
  • Prior exposure to local taxation and industrial real estate
  • Legal or tax-focused academic background is a plus
  • Accounting skills desirable but can be developed internally

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of CFE and TFPB
  • Proficiency in analysing balance sheets and fixed assets
  • Confident working with invoices and financial data
  • Advanced Excel user

Personal Attributes

  • Independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Analytical and rigorous, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Curious and eager to learn new methodologies
  • Team-oriented, despite high autonomy
  • Culturally adaptable with a mindset of humility and flexibility

Why Join?

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-trust, high-autonomy environment with very low staff turnover. You’ll work with experts in a lean, agile structure, without rigid hierarchies or micromanagement. The team supports each other like a “pack of wolves” independent but united in delivering exceptional value to clients.
