This is an exceptional opportunity for a Global Head of Sustainability to shape and implement an ESG strategy for an established international organisation operating across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. As Global Head of Sustainability, you will drive this vision forward, embedding ESG principles across the business to deliver lasting value for communities, stakeholders, and the planet.

Global Head of Sustainability Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a forward-looking global ESG strategy aligned with enterprise goals and cross-functional priorities.
• Ensure sustainability objectives are embedded across departments, fostering alignment and measurable outcomes.

Governance and Reporting

• Establish robust governance frameworks that meet international sustainability and reporting standards.
• Partner with the Executive Team to communicate ESG performance and progress to the Board.

Risk Management and Innovation

• Conduct horizon scanning to anticipate sustainability trends, emerging risks, and regulatory shifts.
• Drive innovation through new technologies, partnerships, and best practices that enhance environmental and social impact.

Culture and Leadership

• Champion a culture of sustainability across global markets, inspiring teams to adopt environmentally conscious and socially responsible practices.
• Lead internal communications to strengthen engagement and transparency.

Performance and Impact Measurement

• Define ESG metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems to measure progress and track impact.
• Lead audits and evaluations to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.

Your Experience and Expertise

You’ll bring a combination of strategic vision, operational excellence, and deep sustainability expertise.

• Proven global experience leading sustainability or ESG initiatives, ideally within the FMCG or related industries.
• Strong track record in climate change mitigation, carbon reduction, biodiversity, and social impact programmes.
• Experience working across complex international supply chains.
• Ability to build, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams of environmental and social experts.
• Comprehensive understanding of sustainability frameworks, reporting standards, and evolving global regulations.
• Demonstrated success in influencing senior stakeholders and shifting organisational behaviours toward sustainability goals.
