An internationally renowned strategic communications consultancy is looking for a Senior Consultant with sustainability and ESG expertise, to lead their German Sustainability and ESG offering. As a part of one of the world’s leading communications groups, this strategic communications consultancy specialises in highly strategic corporate, change management, financial and political matters for some of the world’s largest businesses.
In this role you will develop and implement national and global communications strategies which focus on sustainability, climate transition and ESG. You will lead and contribute to project teams who provide strategic advice and support to businesses across a broad range of sectors and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Taking the lead in managing client accounts and providing strategic counsel to businesses on sustainability and ESG matters, managing their corporate narrative and investor relations.
- Acting as an expert by following sustainability trends, managing the client’s reputation and identifying and advising on issues and relevant implications in their ESG and sustainability strategy.
- Nurturing, developing and expanding client relationships; identifying potential leads and areas of growth within existing clients, as well as broader new business leads.
- Being creative in your approach, from the development of the strategy, insight and content to the activation, along with providing reports and analytics.
- Training and guiding junior team members and developing thought leadership content on ESG for the agency.
Key Requirements:
- Strategic or sustainability experience in either consultancy or inhouse, with specific focus on climate transitions, sustainability & ESG issues and reputation management on a strategic level.
- Proactive leader and self-starter with a creative mindset and entrepreneurial approach. Results-oriented and able to work independently, while also leading and working closely with client teams.
- Naturally curious about sustainability and ESG matters, with a desire to stay up to date with the current news and trends.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and German – additional languages would be an advantage.
