Our client is a newly created strategic entity that has been set up to oversee an exciting and ambitious portfolio of projects and programs across the UAE. The entity will be the vehicle of delivery & expertise on experiential and transformational capital projects. The portfolio of work includes the delivery of mega projects from sports to infrastructure assets that support the long-term vision of the country and their global presence, delivery of ad-hoc projects that deliver specific experiential impacts, focus on driving continuous innovation and improvement, ensure right-sized project governance and strive to deliver world class experiential outcomes.
The Executive Director will be in place to oversee all Capital Projects including developing and implementing the Capital Projects sector strategy & plans, conducting market research studies and due diligence on potential target acquisitions, developing, and implementing deals, commercialisation, marketing and community management strategies and plans and ensuring the effective delivery and executions of all capital projects, responsible for overseeing the development of the sectors strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all capital projects in the portfolio from ideation to delivery, strategy, and plans.
- Responsible for all commercial, technical, and environmental due diligence on potential projects and acquisitions.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the project vision, including scope, delivery and operation strategy, implementation of the project marketing and brand strategy.
- Oversee the preparation and management of predevelopment budgets, development budgets, construction cost, operating budget, cash flows etc.
- Responsible for the management of the workload, the people and the projects including recruitment, performance reviews, long term strategy for the workforce, training, and development.
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum 15 years’ relevant experience in leading capital projects across different industries and sectors with full P&L responsibility, ideally from mega projects such as sports and entertainment, to lifestyle and heritage. Extensive experience in developing and implementing sector strategies, feasibility studies, due diligence on acquisitions taking critical decisions. You will be highly qualified with a BA /MA or MBA in International Business Management, Engineering or Architecture.
