A leading international strategic advisory firm provides governments, corporations, and high-profile business and political leaders with discreet strategies to enhance their reputation, credibility, and global profile. The firm approached Hanson Search to find a Strategic Director who could help fast-growing tech companies position themselves in the European market. The challenge was finding a candidate with an exceptional network of media contacts, high-level strategic expertise, and experience in government, regulatory affairs, and the technology sector.
Approach
As the firm maintains a confidential profile in the market, Hanson Search worked closely with the team to establish a clear understanding of the company’s values, consultancy services, and team dynamics. Once this understanding was established, we utilised our expert knowledge of the technology market to identify target agencies. A comprehensive list was compiled, and Hanson Search proactively headhunted top candidates from relevant sectors.
Success
Hanson Search arranged several face-to-face interviews with candidates, ultimately narrowing the field down to a shortlist of six, all of whom were agreed upon by the client for meetings. The preferred candidate was a Board Director from one of the top technology firms in the industry. Although this individual was not actively seeking a new position, through Hanson Search’s consultation and the strategic positioning of the role, they agreed to meet with the client. Within a week, the candidate accepted the role, successfully filling the Strategic Director position.
