Brief for Global Brand Strategy Lead

Our client needed to appoint an experienced and ambitious Global Brand Strategy Lead. The brief was to find a leader capable of developing and executing a brand strategy to support rapid global expansion, enhance brand presence across all markets and drive consistency, innovation and customer loyalty at scale. Strong strategic thinking, cross-market brand expertise and the ability to influence senior stakeholders were essential requirements.

Our Approach

Our specialist research team conducted a thorough mapping of the market across Switzerland and internationally, targeting senior brand professionals from the world’s leading consumer businesses. We approached candidates holding titles including Head of Global Brand Strategy, Global Brand Manager, Head of International Brand Strategy, Senior Brand Strategist and VP of Brand Strategy.

Alongside this targeted search, we developed a bespoke competency scorecard to assess all candidates against the specific requirements of the role. Key criteria included global brand leadership, strategic vision and execution, innovation and creativity, experience in global market expansion, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making and stakeholder management at the most senior level.

Following an extensive interview and assessment process, we pre-shortlisted eight exceptional professionals drawn from Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy and the UK, each of whom met all the criteria and competencies the role demanded.
