Our client is a leading multinational lottery‑led entertainment and gaming company. The company has expanded rapidly through acquisitions. It is pursuing strategic growth, aiming to be among the world’s largest lottery and gaming operators.
Our client needed to appoint an experienced and ambitious Global Brand Strategy Lead. The brief was to find a leader capable of developing and executing a brand strategy to support rapid global expansion, enhance brand presence across all markets and drive consistency, innovation and customer loyalty at scale. Strong strategic thinking, cross-market brand expertise and the ability to influence senior stakeholders were essential requirements.
Our specialist research team conducted a thorough mapping of the market across Switzerland and internationally, targeting senior brand professionals from the world’s leading consumer businesses. We approached candidates holding titles including Head of Global Brand Strategy, Global Brand Manager, Head of International Brand Strategy, Senior Brand Strategist and VP of Brand Strategy.
Alongside this targeted search, we developed a bespoke competency scorecard to assess all candidates against the specific requirements of the role. Key criteria included global brand leadership, strategic vision and execution, innovation and creativity, experience in global market expansion, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making and stakeholder management at the most senior level.
Following an extensive interview and assessment process, we pre-shortlisted eight exceptional professionals drawn from Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy and the UK, each of whom met all the criteria and competencies the role demanded.
We identified an exceptional trilingual Global Brand Lead with deep experience in global brand strategy and management, gained at a world-renowned FMCG business known for its iconic consumer products. The candidate immediately became our client’s preferred choice, standing out for a distinctive combination of strategic rigour and creative thinking.
Throughout the process, we worked closely with our client’s HR and leadership teams to ensure a seamless experience from initial search through to onboarding. The successful candidate has since made a significant and rapid impact, driving global brand growth, strengthening cross-market consistency and building a collaborative culture within the brand team. His culturally aware, positive approach has contributed directly to the organisation’s continued growth and market leadership.
