I am looking for an ambitious Senior Account Manager to join the New York team of an international PR firm, with an impressive roster of clients in the creative, innovative, ad and tech spaces.
While the UK-arm was founded over 10 years ago, the U.S. business was launched in late 2021 to expand the offerings for leading global companies and agencies in the provision of full-service B2B PR, content and business development solutions.
You will have your own client caseload, working closely with senior and junior account team members to dream up and execute full-fledged B2B PR strategies, from crafting pitches and press releases to drafting bylines, contributed content and speaking abstracts.
My client is looking for a candidate who:
- Is a smart, savvy, creative thinker, adept communicator who focuses on solutions when presented with a challenge.
- Has a minimum of seven years’ experience in the PR field, with specific knowledge of the B2B space
- Is a confident writer and communicator with a knack for nurturing and managing client relationships
- Understands the importance of powerful storytelling
Core responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing and executing day-to-day work on your assigned accounts
- Helping to design the strategic objectives for each account and leading the charge when it comes to executing them
- Serving as a primary client liaison, via email and phone, as well as face-to-face when appropriate
- Reporting to and working with your VP to ensure consistent and timely workflows are met
- Promoting clients and their efforts via proactive social networking and your attendance at networking events and conferences
- Supporting with new business pitching and client prospecting
Skills and attributes
- Skilled understanding of core PR techniques, including media relations and event management
- Excellent writing skills, including the drafting of press releases, bylines and reports
- Database management skills.
- Ability to work in a team; ability to manage up and down
- Ability to identify and force-rank priorities; execute accordingly
- Effective time management.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft’s and Google’s suite of software and products.
- Understanding of how the different communications disciplines, including advertising, direct marketing and public relations work, and how their roles relate in creating a comprehensive communications program
- Familiarity with marketing and advertising trade publications, as well as business, tech and creative publications, including, but not limited to: Adweek, AdAge, The Drum, Campaign U.S., Muse by Clio, Advertising Week, Fast Company, Business Insider, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Inc., AIGA, Wired and TechCrunch.
