A leading manufacturer in the food and packaging sector is seeking a commercially astute Sales Director to lead its national sales strategy and execution. Based in Chicago, this role will take full ownership of revenue generation across key markets, ensuring alignment with customer needs, production capacity and long-term growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the U.S. sales strategy for food and packaging products
- Manage and grow relationships with major clients in food manufacturing, retail, and distribution
- Lead, develop, and expand a high-performing sales team across regions
- Identify growth opportunities in emerging markets and across new product lines
- Collaborate with production, R&D and marketing to align customer needs with product innovation
- Analyse market trends, pricing dynamics and competitor activity to inform strategy
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Sales Director, leadership experience in manufacturing, food packaging, or B2B food supply
- Strong network within the CPG, food production, or packaging industry
- Ability to lead complex negotiations with large-scale buyers and distributors
- Track record of exceeding sales targets and scaling revenue
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-centric manufacturing environment
- Based in Chicago or willing to relocate
