Role Overview: Legal and Compliance Officer

We are working with a fast-growing, international organisation undergoing a significant transformation as it strengthens its global regulatory framework and governance standards. As part of this evolution, they are seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer to support their operations across multiple jurisdictions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded compliance professional to play a key role in a dynamic, high-growth environment, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Reporting into the compliance team, you will be responsible for supporting and managing regulatory and compliance activities across international markets. You will act as a trusted advisor to internal teams, ensuring that regulatory requirements are effectively embedded into business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Licensing

• Support the management of licences across multiple jurisdictions
• Assist with licence applications, renewals and regulatory submissions
• Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies where required
• Ensure adherence to jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements

Advisory & Compliance

• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory and compliance obligations
• Advise on areas such as consumer protection, AML and broader compliance frameworks
• Support the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures

Compliance Operations

• Maintain internal controls and compliance frameworks
• Support internal and external audits
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess business impact
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical operational processes

Product & Marketing Review

• Review customer-facing materials, including marketing content and product features
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner closely with product, operations and customer teams
• Provide day-to-day compliance support across the business
• Support regulatory reporting requirements
• Ensure accurate and timely communication of regulatory changes internall

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Strong experience in a compliance or regulatory role within a highly regulated sector
• Direct experience within real-money or regulated digital environments
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and multi-jurisdictional compliance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail with a commercial mindset

Highly Desirable:

• Exposure to UK or equivalent Tier 1 regulatory environments
• Experience working across multiple international jurisdictions
• Background in compliance, legal or regulatory advisory roles
