About the Role – Interim Head of Marketing in Germany

We are supporting a global festival promoter in the search for an Interim Head of Marketing in Germany, appointed to lead marketing activity for a major European music event. This senior, commercial role spans digital presence, audience growth, ticketing, merchandising and more. Fluency in both German and English is essential.

Commercial and Digital Focus

This is a hands-on, senior role with clear commercial accountability. The focus is on transactional, digital and eCommerce marketing. In particular, the role is centred on driving revenue through performance marketing and CRM.

Initially offered as a 6-month fixed term contract, the role-holder will have accountability for commercial outcomes. They will also work closely with group marketing leadership to identify growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities – Performance, Ticketing and CRM

• Translating global marketing strategy into effective local delivery for Germany
• Leading local digital, performance & acquisition marketing activity
• Owning & managing local marketing budget, balancing investment with performance efficiency
• Delivering local performance marketing across paid search, paid social & other digital channels
• Optimising spend based on conversion to sales & ticketing performance
• Leveraging CRM to drive customer acquisition & retention
• Analysing storytelling using key marketing and commercial metrics
• Delivering revenue growth and year-on-year sales increases

About You – Senior Marketing Leadership in Music and Live Events

You’ll be a proven operator at senior level, the kind of marketing leader who feels equally at home at the coalface as in the boardroom. Critically, you will definitely need demonstrable experience in music (label/distributor/platform/talent), live events & festivals, arts or entertainment (or another clearly-relatable industry), so please do not apply without this.

You will bring bags of expertise in digital, performance and eCommerce marketing, ideally within a transaction-led business, and a track record of delivering local digital and acquisition-led marketing programmes. And if you’ve done this in a global environment, even better.

Naturally, you’ll be commercially astute, delivery-focused and comfortable operating at pace and to deadlines.

• Germany-based (Hamburg or Berlin preferred)
