European Public Affairs Healthcare Leader – Brussels/London

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global consultancy with a growing Health practice, representing a significant portion of their global revenues. The European Public Affairs Healthcare Leader will shape and drive the health strategy across Europe, working closely with senior leadership in both the European and Global teams. The role is highly strategic, focusing on client advisory, business development, and practice leadership within the dynamic field of health communications and policy. The Brussels hub serves as the anchor for EU policy engagement, while the candidate will also support a broader European network.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the Health strategy across Europe, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
• Grow health-related revenues and expand the client portfolio across Europe.
• Lead cross-border business development efforts and strengthen the organisation’s reputation in health policy and communications.
• Provide senior-level counsel to health clients at the intersection of EU policy, corporate reputation, and public affairs.
• Strengthen relationships with senior decision-makers across biopharma, medtech, public health institutions, and NGOs.
• Represent the company at senior-level forums, industry associations, and client events.
• Enhance the company’s profile as a trusted advisor in European health communications and policy.

Key Requirements

• Significant experience in leadership in public affairs, strategic communications, or consultancy, with a strong focus on health policy.
• In-depth understanding of European health policy and regulatory environments; established credibility with EU institutions and other stakeholders.
• Successful track record of business development and revenue growth within a consultancy or similar environment.
• Experience working across multiple European markets, with expertise in both Brussels policy and wider European/international contexts.
• Strong network within the European health ecosystem (industry, regulators, NGOs, media, policymakers).
• Credible advisor to senior clients, offering both gravitas and practical counsel.
