Overview of the Director of Marketing Role

This is a strategic leadership position overseeing the full marketing spectrum: brand and product marketing, creative studio, social and influencer channels, PR and local marketing. You will drive bold creative ideas, shape go-to-market strategies and collaborate closely with senior leadership to deliver impactful, global-scale work.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Brand Building
  • Lead the marketing function, elevating a well-loved global brand and driving growth across B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Shape and evolve the brand strategy, ensuring a consistent and distinctive presence across markets.
  • Partner closely with the leadership team to translate vision into marketing strategies and execution plans.
  • Creative & Campaign Development
  • Oversee the in-house creative studio to deliver world-class assets across all channels.
  • Develop ambitious, large-scale campaigns that resonate globally and reinforce the brand’s market position.

Director of Marketing – Product & Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Drive go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
  • Translate complex product features into compelling value propositions.
  • Local, Social & Influencer Marketing
  • Build and execute localised marketing strategies and partnerships with brands and influencers.
  • Lead social media presence and community engagement across major platforms.
  • Grow and nurture a network of influencers and advocates to amplify reach.

Insights & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Translate user, product, and market insights into actionable marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with product, data, growth, and cross-functional teams to align objectives and deliver measurable impact.

Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams

  • Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of marketers and creatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and outcomes-driven environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a CMO/Director/VP role; leading a large matrixed team 
  • Experience within a fast-paced tech scale up environment would be ideal
  • Proven background across both B2C and B2B
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and senior stakeholder management skills.
  • Track record of delivering impactful creative campaigns and successful go-to-market strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing marketing teams.
  • Strong ability to tailor messaging across diverse audiences and channels.
  • High level of creative judgement paired with pragmatic execution.
  • Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguous or evolving priorities.
