Our client, a highly acclaimed global communications consultancy, is looking for a Director of Financial Communications to lead their Frankfurt office.

Working across various markets including Capital Markets, Investor relations, Communications, Digital, Public affairs and Sustainability, this international consultancy focuses on enhancing their clients' reputations, engaging with audiences and building strong relationships with key stakeholders; to ensure a successful and impactful presence in their marketplace. 

As Director of Financial Communications, you will be responsible for leading the Financial Communications practice, whilst providing strategic counsel to clients. Reporting to the Managing Director in Germany, you will manage their Frankfurt office, while collaborating with other offices, both in Germany and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Overall responsibility and lead the Financial Communications practice in the Frankfurt office with an entrepreneurial vision, and the freedom to implement new strategies.
  • Support the Managing Director in Germany and collaborate with other international senior teams within the global consultancy network. 

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering commercially astute, insightful financial communications strategies.

  • Lead and mentor the team in Frankfurt.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, whilst leveraging a strong professional network. 
  • Develop a clear vision of where the consultancy’s position should be in the market, with a clear and actionable plan on how to get there.   

Key Requirements:    

  • In-depth knowledge of financial communications for B2B and B2C audiences within asset management, insurance, and banking industries.
  • Significant managerial & new business experience with leadership, personal drive and the ability to lead and manage change effectively. 
  • Project management skills for integrated accounts and orchestrating multi-practice workstreams working with corporate, content and creative, design, public policy, digital and insight teams.
  • Inspiring and supportive leader, fostering team’s motivation and growth.
  • Excellent written and spoken German language skills for effective interaction with clients and professional English language skills for interaction with other teams and markets.
