Turn what a high-growth, private equity-backed infrastructure and facilities management group sells into operations that work from day one. As Group Head of Mobilisation and Optimisation, you will build a new function at the heart of the business and shape how the Group delivers for some of the UK’s biggest brands.

Group Head of Mobilisation and Optimisation Role in Essex

This is a newly created senior position reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer. You will own the journey from commercial commitment through to go-live and operational handover, acting as the link between Sales, Operations, Product and Technology, Estate Infrastructure and Field Services.

You will lead the Group Programming and Feasibility Manager, the Group Head of Estate Maintenance and two Project Managers delivering the ANPR and AIM portfolios, with monthly targets rising to more than 50 ANPR and 10 AIM sites in FY27. You will have the freedom to design the mobilisation strategy and operating model from scratch, and the visibility to see the impact of your decisions across four businesses. There is also a clear career pathway towards Group Chief Operating Officer.

Why Join a Fast-Growing Infrastructure and Facilities Management Group

The Group is made up of four specialist businesses providing tailored infrastructure and facilities management solutions across Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Residential, Education and Transport. Its reputation rests on outstanding customer service and right-first-time delivery in challenging environments.

Growth has been consistent, with EBITDA rising by around £2m every year and a five-year plan targeting £50m or more. Despite its scale and investor backing, it still feels like a family-led business. Leadership is approachable and visible, decisions are made quickly and there is very little bureaucracy, which is reflected in a colleague net promoter score of +30.

The package reflects the seniority of the role:

  • Base salary of circa £100,000, depending on experience
  • Performance-related bonus linked to Group EBITDA
  • Company car or car allowance
  • Private medical insurance
  • 25 days annual leave plus company sick pay
  • Pension and life assurance
  • Home-based hybrid working, with regular time at the Essex head office

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the Group mobilisation and implementation strategy and operating model
  • Set the standards, governance and accountability that run from Sales handover through to business as usual
  • Challenge commitments, timescales and assumptions where delivery or commercial risk is material
  • Lead the programming, estate maintenance and ANPR and AIM project teams to deliver on time and to standard
  • Define go-live criteria and a consistent, formal handover into Operations
  • Embed health and safety, CDM, quality and compliance, and set KPIs that drive continuous improvement

Key Requirements

  • Hold significant senior leadership experience in a complex operational, infrastructure, technology-enabled or service-based organisation
  • Demonstrate a proven record of building and leading a mobilisation, implementation, programme delivery or infrastructure function
  • Translate commercial requirements into scalable delivery models and oversee complex portfolios
  • Apply strong commercial judgement across investment, budgeting, resource planning and delivery economics
  • Influence and constructively challenge Executive-level stakeholders while leading through senior managers
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and PRINCE2, APM, IOSH, NEBOSH or SMSTS qualifications desirable
