Our client, a leading retail conglomerate, is currently seeking a Head of Corporate Communications, to join their head office team based in UAE. The Head of Corporate Communications will be responsible for establishing integrated communications, public relations, and social media processes and strategies to build and strengthen the group’s reputation.

This role will be instrumental as the organisation continues to expand the brand across the wider GCC region and will work with senior management to ensure best in class Communications activity.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Communications will be an excellent communicator with a strong strategic, commercial, and creative mindset. You will require vision and motivation to collaborate with brand teams across the group.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Development and execution of corporate communications strategies and initiatives in alignment with key business priorities and company’s vision to ensure strong market positioning.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and apply them to group communication strategies where applicable.
  • Plan and organise large-scale events for the business and leadership teams ensuring high engagement both internally and externally.
  • Oversee public relations including announcements, press releases, crisis communications to ensure strong Group reputation.
  • Working with teams across the group including CSR & Sustainability, Digital and Finance to ensure strong cross-functional communications and messaging.
  • Management and leadership of the Communications team to ensure best practice in execution of all group communications strategy.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in corporate communications within GCC region and will have led on communications strategies within a multi-brand organisation or within the retail sector. You may also be looking to make a move from agency. You will be passionate about building and strengthening key stakeholder relationships for the organisation both internally and externally.

Excellent communication skills are required, as well as strong working experience in the region.  Fluency in Arabic preferred.
