I am working with a global not for profit in the awards and events space, who is looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join their New York team as a Senior Social Media Manager.

In this role, you’ll spearhead the development of their social media program, crafting and publishing content across various platforms to engage and expand the global network. This is an exciting opportunity to help the wider Brand and Marketing Team deliver a new brand positioning and build a unique, mission-based global brand.

Reporting directly to the VP of PR and Corporate Communications, you’ll collaborate closely with the Chief Brand and Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aimed at bolstering brand recognition, driving traffic, and generating leads across the product portfolio.
  • Maintain a robust social media content calendar to ensure consistent messaging and posting across social media channels.
  • Foster alignment with cross-functional teams to integrate social media efforts with overarching marketing campaigns and goals.
  • Oversee management of all social media platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Curate engaging and platform-specific content tailored to my client’s brand ethos and target demographics.
  • Create engaging and relevant content tailored to our brand, each platform and target audience.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to gauge the effectiveness of social media initiatives, providing data-driven insights for optimization.
  • Stay abreast of social media trends, news, and feedback, integrating insights into strategy and content creation.
  • Execute and oversee social media advertising campaigns, managing budget allocation, targeting, and performance evaluation.
  • Keep a pulse on competitors’ social media activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.

Qualifications:

Excellent written communication skills are a must, with a knack for crafting compelling content. The ideal candidate will excel as a proactive project manager, committed to meeting deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing successful campaigns and content.
  • Demonstrated experience in audience engagement and growth across major social channels.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt communication styles for diverse audiences while maintaining brand voice consistency.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and driving informed decision-making.
  • A creative thinker passionate about storytelling and visual communication.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Bonus points for experience in graphic design, photography, or videography, as well as familiarity with SEO principles and digital marketing tactics.
  • Flexibility to pivot in response to evolving priorities and business needs.
