When Brands Take Marketing In-House: How To Build The Modern Day Marketing Function [EVENT]

We are hosting a breakfast briefing in London on the 9th April 2019 to discuss how to build the modern day marketing function.

Hanson Search CEO Alice Weightman will chair an all-star panel, featuring:

> Sam Grant, CMO at Samsung. As the marketing lead for Samsung Electronics, Sam leads the brand and channel strategy and communications across the UK and Ireland. Since joining Samsung in late 2015, Sam has embedded a ‘consumer first’ approach into the way the entire business runs, and worked towards a clear goal for Samsung to be the most loved brand in the country.

> Natasha Lytton, Head of Brand at Seedcamp. Natasha heads up brand, marketing and network strategy at Seedcamp, the leading early-stage tech investment fund, working across the Seedcamp brand and as a support to the portfolio that stands at over 300 companies strong and includes the likes of unicorn businesses Transferwise, Revolut and UiPath.

> Emma Mayer, Marketing Director at Cytora. Emma is responsible for strategy, brand development, and growth marketing. Emma is passionate about bringing brands to life and building narratives that help people connect to products and company vision.

A trend for businesses to bring their marketing functions in-house has begun, we want to look at how businesses are developing a modern day marketing function fit for today and suitable for the future. We will be discussing what their needs are and the relationships with their agencies.

With the increasing need for a variety of skills now housed under one roof and data and technologies driving more analytic campaigns – we want to look at how to create modern marketing functions effectively, how to manage the teams and where best to deploy them.

At this panel event, we will be exploring the following and more:

  • How businesses are structuring teams
  • Traditional marketing vs modern marketing techniques
  • How to maximise return on investment through deployment of talent
  • Off shore, on shore and near shore talent
