Our client is seeking an Associate Partner to join a leading public affairs and communications consultancy in their Berlin office. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, managing client relationships, and providing strategic public affairs and communications expertise. The role offers significant opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic and global collaborative environment.

This leading public affairs and communications consultancy has a fast growing presence in Berlin. Their work spans multiple sectors, including technology, defence, energy, and healthcare, and they are committed to delivering strategic counsel and impactful results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver strategic public affairs and communications programmes for a diverse client portfolio, with a focus on public affairs.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, contributing to revenue growth and expanding the firm’s market presence.
  • Serve as a key client contact, ensuring excellent service delivery and proactive client management.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing office culture.
  • Work closely with the Head of Office to support the strategic growth of the Berlin team.
  • Represent the consultancy with gravitas and professionalism in client and stakeholder meetings.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in public affairs and communications, preferably within a consultancy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the German market and regulatory landscape.
  • Proven ability to lead client accounts, deliver strategic advice, and manage complex projects.
  • Business development experience with a successful track record of revenue generation.
  • Charismatic leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and mentor team members.
  • Flexible sector expertise, with a preference for generalist profiles capable of working across multiple industries (e.g., technology, healthcare, energy).
  • Fluency in German and English is essential.
