The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) is seeking a dynamic Senior Communications Associate – Content Manager to lead the creation and implementation of traditional and digital content for their Corporate Affairs team. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, this key role is responsible for developing, managing and executing their content calendar and budget while crafting compelling materials across multiple platforms. Your work will ensure that WCF’s mission is communicated powerfully, helping to drive its sustainability initiatives forward.

About the Corporate Affairs Team: The Corporate Affairs team is at the forefront of shaping WCF’s public image and reputation. They amplify the organisation’s visibility and convening nature to promote collaboration among their members and beyond to strengthen the sustainability of the cocoa sector. Providing a wide range of communications services, from media relations to stakeholder outreach and event promotion, they ensure that every piece of content aligns with WCF’s strategic goals and brand identity, reinforcing their position as a cocoa and chocolate industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Integrated Processes

  • Evaluate and optimise the content strategy across digital platforms, tracking performance against targets and timelines.
  • Identify the best channels to advocate for WCF’s initiatives, aligning them with organisational needs and broader communications strategy.
  • Produce, write and oversee the creation of impactful content—articles, blog posts, videos, social media posts—that consistently communicates their mission and programme impact.
  • Stay ahead of communications, marketing and digital media trends to enhance campaign effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.

Align and Advise

  • Recommend solutions to improve content calendar execution and boost stakeholder engagement.
  • Guide SMEs and programme teams on content creation to ensure smooth and informed communication.
  • Build content partnerships.
  • Advise external partners on applying WCF’s branding strategy, ensuring consistent delivery of key messages.

Sustain Service Excellence

  • Lead WCF engagement across multiple deliverables, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Develop tailored engagement strategies to strengthen key WCF relationships.
  • Oversee the execution of the Corporate Affairs content calendar, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery.
  • Supervise the execution of content across digital channels, maintaining high standards and meeting performance metrics.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications or equivalent, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Proven experience in producing engaging content across digital platforms using tools like Canva, Adobe and Hootsuite; executing content calendars and maintaining high standards of consistency and service delivery.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a talent for storytelling, creating compelling narratives and delivering clear, impactful messaging.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of French, Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Experience in high-stakes sectors such as agriculture, food, development or sustainability would be a plus.
