Our client is looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly collaborative Corporate Affairs professional to help lead its fast-growing office in London as Deputy MD.

The agency has previously won the prestigious CIPR UK PR Consultancy of the Year award and based on a successful year this year, the Managing Director is looking for a second-in-command to take the business through a period of growth and improve its already strong position in the market.

Your success will be measured on the delivery of revenue and profit objectives for 2021 and beyond, the acquisition of new clients and growth of existing ones, gearing the agency up to meet ever-evolving market demands, and the leadership of a high-performing team, currently numbering 40+, working in a matrix structure. 

This role requires a strong, strategically minded and progressive leader who excites and inspires the team, clients, potential clients and all external stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • A highly experienced Corporate Affairs professional
  • Some agency experience is essential
  • The ability to work across multiple sectors
  • Strong understanding of insight-led, behavioral change comms campaigns
  • A strategic communicator that can take a well performing agency to the next level
  • Ability to execute a vision and strategy for the company both internally and externally
  • Experience of creating, nurturing and managing relationships with multiple, diverse clients
  • Proven experience growing existing business and winning new business
  • Exemplary communication – active listening, negotiation and persuasion internally and externally
  • Gravitas and charisma – confidence and conviction in presenting ideas and providing smart counsel
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership qualities and a team player attitude
  • Operational know-how and an ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear understanding of financial metrics and agency management
  • Natural collaborator and leader who inspires great work while leading teams and developing talent
