A dynamic and growing strategic communications agency, which designs and executes integrated and personalised corporate communications and public affairs strategies for clients, is looking for an experienced Corporate Affairs Account Director to join their team.

This is an opportunity to oversee a portfolio of clients across a range of meaty sectors including technology, education, healthcare, climate change and green energy, and work with senior leaders to navigate a course to success.

As part of the role, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic direction and oversight for projects. You should have a passion for helping businesses and organisations explain their positive contribution to complex world issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver exciting corporate communications, public affairs and digital programmes for clients – setting direction, enhancing reputation and delivering impact
  • Advise on media relations and crisis communications – adding value to media planning, execution of press campaigns, high level advice, achieving media coverage and reputation management
  • Build and develop strong relationships with clients, journalists, political and industry stakeholders
  • Write corporate materials and develop compelling content for press releases, digital content, speeches and political analysis
  • Be involved in networking, pitching, and business development initiatives
  • Manage and mentor junior members of staff

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in an agency or equivalent in-house role
  • Has significant and proven client/project management experience
  • The ability to pitch ideas in a compelling way to clients, colleagues and the media
  • Enjoys writing and digesting complex communications and policy issues
  • Can-do attitude and an action-oriented approach
  • Gravitas and charisma
