We are working on a brilliant Communications Manager role with a leading and innovative for-profit housing provider, committed to delivering high-quality affordable housing across England. The business is part of a large real estate investor and is growing rapidly.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and External Affairs, this is an opportunity to manage internal and external communications, build relationships and promote reputation with a variety of key stakeholders. The position will be responsible for partnering in the development of a communications strategy and communicating the company’s story to residents, housebuilders, regulators, prospective talent, the media, and various internal stakeholders and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of the company’s communications strategy
  • Providing effective correspondence and briefing support to the investors, Chief Executive and other senior stakeholders
  • Taking responsibility for all internal communications including bulletins and relevant employee communications
  • Working with colleagues to identify new target stakeholders in line with the company’s business plan objectives and seeking proactively to strengthen these relationships
  • Providing drafting and strategic support on the company’s property portfolio
  • Coordinate with the parent company on matters relating to external communications
  • Ensure the correct tone of communications across all regulatory and local authorities

Key Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the real estate sector
  • Proven experience of producing high quality communications for external stakeholders
  • Strong rapport-building skills with an ability to handle challenging relationships
  • Self-motivated and ability to use own initiative but also a strong team player
  • Demonstrates integrity, empathy, discretion, and professionalism
  • Team player, enthusiastic and self-motivated
