One of the world’s largest and longest standing publishers are looking for a Global Digital CMO to join them at this exciting time, to drive and oversee their digital transformation. 

A talented and dynamic marketing leader, the CMO will use creative thinking to reinvigorate the brand and lead global marketing programmes. You will be responsible for making the vision of digital marketing a successful reality. The role is responsible for taking colleagues and stakeholders on the journey of change, inspiring and leading delivery at the forefront of consumer and B2B marketing.

You’ll be encouraged to challenge, question and take risks to build on the company’s phenomenal growth by helping them continually improve their products and services. It is essential you demonstrate dedication, innovation, disruptive & constructive ideas coupled with passion.

The role sits within the Executive Leadership Team and you will closely collaborate across the organisation to bring strategic consumer insight to drive and support overall business objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop the overall global marketing strategy across their product lines to deliver digital transformation and collaboration.
  • Marketing to B2B customers while simultaneously adding focus to B2C marketing.
  • Changing the culture and practice to ensure marketing teams routinely analyse every step of a marketing campaign in line with the digital transformation programme.
  • Establish a high performing team ensuring all marketing colleagues, are stretched, engaged and focused on delivering exceptional marketing standards.
  • Position the company as an advanced influencer, tapping into the networks of their specialists to engage directly with customers. Assess, monitor and review customer-facing technology platforms to ensure the company is at the forefront of innovation, including social media and review sites.

The ideal candidate would bring: 

  • Proven ability to adapt and transform product and brand visions into reality that inspires customers.
  • A leader who inspires and motivates and will lead a large global team (200 plus)
  • Commercial thinking combined with customer focus and has proven experience of delivering results for a business. 
  • Has a digital first marketing discipline background, including product marketing and demand marketing delivered on a global level.
  • Able to manage complexity, ambiguity and change.
  • A proactive attitude, with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience serving as a partner to the CEO, Board and leadership of a complex, multi-stakeholder entity.
