This is an exciting opportunity for a Campaign Director to join Europe's leading NGO campaigning for cleaner transport. With 6 national offices around Europe, their main national partner is based in Germany and all the advocacy is mainly run through their headquarters in Brussels. It is an extremely rewarding opportunity for a Campaign Director who has an interest in the Automotive industry and especially electric vehicles as it offers the chance to help shape policies with huge implications for democracy, people and the environment in Europe and across the globe. 

The Campaign Director will lead a campaign on the electrification of company cars in Europe. The aim of the programme is to shape EU Governments’ fiscal policy to be favourable towards electric company cars, and encouraging companies to go electric faster.

The position will be essential in establishing relationships with businesses and NGOs to build a coalition to persuade governments that EV transition is not only good for the environment but also for employment and industrial strategy. The ultimate goal of the campaign is to push the entire company cars ecosystem to electrification by 2030.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a good understanding of the politics surrounding these issues and what works with the media to bring to light any issues in the sector in order to limit the industry’s ability to distort policy and public debates. 

The Campaign Director role offers flexibility of location and it will require some travel to Belgium, Germany and France.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in strategic coordination of automotive or similar campaigns, this role requires someone who really understands the Automotive industry, in particular electric vehicles.
  • Strong Automotive, Fleets & Licensing market experience
  • Excellent written and people skills
  • A strong head for figures and knowledge of fiscal policies
  • Proven experience in building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience managing international staff and working with remote located teams
  • Fast learner who can hit the ground running but also work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, other European languages are important, priority given to German.
