Our client, a European leading NGO, is looking for a highly strategic Campaign Director to take the lead on a major pan European effort to completely change the car industry. This is a unique opportunity to design a multi-country program, to shift the entire company car ecosystem to electrification by 2030.    

It is an extremely rewarding opportunity for a green minded Campaign Director who has an interest in the Automotive industry and who wants to make a disruptive impact on this market. You will be responsible for building relationships with businesses and NGOs, and persuading governments that electric vehicles are not only beneficial for the environment but also for employment and industrial strategy.  

With 6 national offices around Europe, this NGO offers plenty of career progression and flexibility on location. They are fully committed to give you everything you need to work from home.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead a program across EU key markets on the electrification of company cars in Europe.  
  • Define action plans, targets and manage budgets. 
  • Build a cross country team and decide on the best organisational structure to achieve goals.  
  • Develop and/or strengthen relationships with other NGOs and key businesses to build a strong coalition over local government fiscal policies.  
  • Develop targeted advocacy campaigns for local governments, working with them on implementing fiscal policies favourable towards electric company cars, and encouraging companies to go electric faster. 

Key Requirements:

  • Leadership experience in strategic coordination of successful advocacy programs (ideally across European countries).  
  • Significant experience within the environmental / automotive sector. 
  • Experience with managing international staff and working with remote teams. 
  • Proven experience in building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders including NGOs and local governments. 
  • A strong head for figures and knowledge of fiscal policies. 
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, other European languages are a plus.
