Location: London, United Kingdom Account Manager - Public Engagement

A leading agency is looking for a public engagement specialist to join their stakeholder and community engagement practice. This is an opportunity to work across community relations, corporate communications, and stakeholder and digital engagement campaigns.

The team works with some of the largest businesses in the UK across a variety of sectors including government, property and development, transport, infrastructure, health and the third sector. You will have the opportunity to travel across the country and partner with a range of stakeholders from residents, to MPs and Councilors, to Housing Associations.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work well within a close-knit team, be able to identify and engage with key stakeholders, understand all viewpoints and mitigate objections, have an eye for detail, good judgement and a proactive mind set. This will be an active client-facing role so excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and nurture relationships with clients
• Liaise with various stakeholders from local government, MPs and residents
• Deliver integrated, creative communications and engagement campaigns
• Ensure effective communication of project briefs to the internal team and oversee junior members of the team
• Play an active role in pitching to secure new business opportunities

Key Requirements:

• Experience working in a public engagement and/or corporate communications role
• Proactive approach and good at coming up with ideas for public engagement campaigns and news stories
• Excellent time management skills and an ability to multitask and prioritise
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
